The Closer

The Closer stars Kyra Sedgwick as the southern belle and badass Deputy Police Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson. Known for her ability to close cases with her intense, but smart interrogations (hence the show’s title), DPC Johnson’s unorthodox style helps solve LA’s toughest, most sensitive cases. This is one of my favorite police procedural show that also stars a superb ensemble cast that also included Oscar winner J.K. Simmons (Law & Order) as Brenda’s boss and former lover. The show was later spun-off into Major Crimes when Ms. Sedgwick departed and Mary McDonnell joined the cast.
