Luther

Luther stars Idris Elba as a brilliant, but self-destructive detective torn between solving serial murders and saving his marriage. This fast-paced show is gritty, bleak, and often stressful to watch. Ruth Wilson (Showtime’s The Affair) is excellent as Luther’s nemesis and confidante Alice Morgan. Luther also stars mystery veterans Saskia Reeves, Steven Mackintosh, and Michael Smiley. The series is created by Neil Cross and features several recognizable guest stars like Lee Ingleby (Inspector George Gently), Nikki Amuka-Bird (Hard Sun), David Dawson (Ripper Street), and Steven Robertson (Shetland).
