Alan Davies (QI) stars as the affable, curly-haired geek Jonathan Creek, a brilliant illusionist and amateur detective. Aided by Maddy Magellen (Caroline Quentin, Blue Murder), an investigative journalist, the pair teams up to solve seemingly impossible crimes. The show is nerdy and cheesy and makes a good counterpoint to the more gruesome murder mystery shows.
