Elementary

It’s Sherlock Holmes shaken and stirred and dropped into a modern day Brooklyn brownstone. British actor Jonny Lee Miller’s Holmes is a misanthropic former heroin addict who is paired with the no-nonsense sartorially-inclined Joan Watson, a former surgeon turned addiction counselor. Together they aid the NYPD with strange crimes that require more than police procedure to solve. Now into its fifth season, Elementary is by far one of the more complex mystery shows on American network TV.
