Castle

Castle stars sci-fi darling Nathan Fillion as mystery novelist, Richard “Rick” Castle as he tags along with NYPD detective Kate Beckett to solve fairly formulaic and mostly affluent mysteries in New York City. The series is predictable and typical of network mystery shows, but it does make good background noise. The only surprise is that the popular show was cancelled abruptly after season 8 due to tensions between the off-screen actors who played the on-screen couple Castle and Beckett.
